PS5 analog stick replacement in Warsaw Rembertow
If your PS5 DualSense controller moves by itself, the camera drifts or aiming pulls to one side, the analog stick may be worn. I replace analog modules in PS5 controllers, solder under a microscope and test the controller after repair.

Stick Drift in PS5 Controllers
Stick drift occurs when the analog stick sends movement signals to the console even though you are not touching the stick. This can result from wear on the internal carbon track potentiometers, dust accumulation, mechanical breakdown, or spring failure in the module.
In most cases, the only reliable solution is to desolder the worn analog mechanism and solder a new module. Software recalibration or cleaning is usually a temporary fix for physically worn hardware.
What Does the Replacement Include?
- disassembly of the DualSense controller,
- inspection of the PCB and analog traces,
- desoldering the worn analog stick module,
- soldering a brand new analog stick module,
- board cleaning and visual check,
- testing the controller analog ranges and centring,
- informing the owner if any other issues are found.
One Analog Stick or Two?
If drift only occurs on one stick, replacing that single analog module is sufficient. However, if both sticks have high mileage or the second stick shows signs of instability, replacing both sticks during the same repair is recommended.
Replacing both analog sticks at once is more cost-effective than opening and disassembling the controller a second time later on.
Risks with Prior Repair Attempts
If the controller has been previously repaired, exposed to liquids, dropped heavily, or subjected to DIY desoldering attempts, the PCB solder pads must be inspected. Torn pads or overheated board traces can increase the complexity and cost of the repair.

FAQ
Replacing a single analog module starts from 100 PLN labour, and replacing both modules starts from 180 PLN. The price may increase if PCB pads are damaged or if the controller was subject to failed DIY repair attempts.
Yes, if the issue is a worn analog module (which is the case 95% of the time). If the drift stems from motherboard chip faults or liquid corrosion, further diagnostics will be needed.
Yes, installation of Hall Effect or TMR sticks is possible if the parts are compatible with the specific motherboard revision. This should be agreed upon before the repair.
If the controller has been used heavily for a long time, resoldering both sticks at once is highly recommended to avoid a second trip to the workshop when the other stick starts drifting.
