PS4 analog stick replacement in Warsaw Rembertow

Stick Drift in PS4 Controllers

The replacement process is similar, but the controller layout, accessibility, and the specific analog modules differ between generations. In both cases, safely desoldering the old module without overheating the board is critical to protect the copper paths.

Damaged PCB Pads from Previous Repairs
If the analog stick was replaced before or someone attempted a DIY repair with a low-power soldering iron, the copper pads on the board might be torn. In these cases, restoring connection traces and PCB pad reconstruction is required.

Replacing a single analog stick starts from 100 PLN labour, and replacing both sticks starts from 180 PLN. Damaged PCB pads or failed prior repair attempts may increase the cost.
If the drift is caused by a worn analog module (which is the case in the vast majority of pads), the replacement will solve it. Motherboard chip failures or liquid corrosion may require further diagnostics.
If the controller is old and both sticks have been heavily used, replacing both at the same time is recommended to prevent the second stick from drifting shortly after the repair.
It depends on the overall condition of the controller. If the case, buttons, and battery are in good condition, replacing the analog stick is much cheaper than buying a new original controller.
