USB-C charging port repair in Warsaw Rembertow
If your phone, tablet or laptop does not charge, charges only at an angle, disconnects during charging or shows a moisture warning in the USB-C port, I can check whether the port needs cleaning, module replacement or microscope soldering.

Symptoms of a Damaged USB-C Port
- no reaction when the charger is connected,
- charging connects and disconnects,
- cable has to be positioned at a specific angle to charge,
- connector feels loose or falls out easily,
- phone shows a moisture warning in the port,
- device is not recognized by a computer via USB,
- charging works only with specific cables or sides,
- port is visibly dirty, bent, or mechanically broken.
Cleaning, Module Replacement, or Microscope Soldering?
Not every charging issue means you need to solder a new connector. Sometimes a thorough, professional cleaning of the port is enough, especially if dust, lint, or debris has accumulated and got compacted inside the port.
In many smartphones, the USB-C port is located on a separate small board called a sub-board. In these cases, the most practical solution is to replace the entire sub-board module.
In other devices, the USB-C port is soldered directly to the main board, or the module is unavailable or of poor quality. In these situations, the only solution is to desolder the old port and solder a new USB-C connector under a microscope.
Moisture Warning in the USB-C Port
A moisture warning does not always mean the device was dropped in water. It can be triggered by dust, residue on the pins, a worn connector, actual humidity, corrosion, a faulty charging board, or a power circuit failure on the motherboard.
In this case, I inspect the port, clean the contacts, and determine whether the issue stems from the connector itself or a deeper component in the circuit.
Torn Connectors and Damaged PCB Pads
If a charging port was ripped out mechanically, the copper pads and traces on the circuit board might be damaged. In these scenarios, replacing the port is not enough; microscope reconstruction of the PCB pads is required before mounting the new port.
